Ecommerce Moves to Natural Language Generation

In a recent survey conducted by Automated Insights, a group of ecommerce professionals stated that they believe natural language generation (NLG) for product descriptions is the next step for ecommerce. This new technology will have the potential to turn data into natural-sounding language for a variety of outlets. As a form of artificial intelligence, NLG will be able to understand grammar and syntax, removing awkward text from typical mail-merged documents. But is the technology everything it’s cracked up to be? Will natural language selection be able to create quality content across multiple platforms?
